ABOUT
Drop is a sonic organism—born in South America, refined in Europe, and continually evolving through the minds of Daniel Jaramillo and DAZA.

Emerging in 2014, Drop began as a series of intimate underground gatherings where rhythms, textures, and bodies converged under the banner of Drop Sessions. These nights became a pulse within the South American electronic scene, attracting both local innovators and global travelers of sound.

The project soon expanded beyond the club. In 2015 and 2017, Drop appeared as a live electronic act at Fête de la Musique in France, carrying its evolving identity across continents.
By late 2017, the duo relocated to Berlin—a city aligned with their experimental instinct. In 2018, they unveiled Gelb Gewinkelt at Bauhaus Fest, exploring performance, structure, and raw frequencies.

In 2020, they released their first experimental album built around solfeggio frequencies—an introspective project focused on resonance, minimal form, and vibrational architecture.

Between 2021 and 2024, Drop introduced its earliest releases: a conceptual series of four vinyl records titled Was, Were, Wo, and Wann.
The first chapter, Was, featured a remix by the renowned artist Alexi Delano, setting the tone for the label’s aesthetic direction and marking its arrival on the global minimal and techno landscape.

Out of years of exploration, Drop Mental Music emerged—a platform for deep listening, reduced aesthetics, and future-driven sound design.
From 2025 onward, the label is curated and managed solely by Daniel Jaramillo, expanding its vision through vinyl and digital releases while maintaining a precise, minimalistic, and futuristic identity shaped by techno, house, electro, and ambient.
